MEET OUR PRESENTERS
Lacey Fisher, LPC-S, RPT-S
Lacey has spent several years specializing in counseling children and adults with a history of childhood sexual abuse. During her work at a Children’s Advocacy Center, Lacey served as clinical director, became certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and testified in criminal court on what trauma can look like in play and sandtray therapy. Now in private practice, Lacey continues to see individuals with trauma from sexual abuse and is working on expanding her specialization to include perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, specifically postpartum PTSD. Lacey also provides supervision for LPC-Interns and therapists seeking their RPT credential. Lacey currently serves as treasurer for ASTA and is a co-founding member, treasurer, and executive director for TSTA.
Kathy Morgan, M.ED, LPC, CCST
Kathy recently retired from Austin ISD after 33 years. She currently works as a therapist at the Burke Center. She has a vast background from her experiences first a special education teacher in elementary, middle, and high schools; then a behavior specialist; then special education counselor; and finally in full time private practice. She enjoys public art projects, wood working, mandalas, working with animals, camping, live music, and photography. She recently was awarded the Austin Child Guidance Center’s 5th Annual Phyllis Richards Austin Icon for Children Award in 2016. Kathy currently serves as president elect for ASTA.
