"On the Other Side of the Tray: What to Do Once the World is Built in Sandtray and Play Therapy" (3 CEUs)
Many sandtray therapists are challenged with what to do once the client has completed their build. We will explore what is actually needed by clients and how we can attend to that need. We will discuss the differences in right and left brain processing. We will also consider play themes as they may appear in the tray. This is an experiential session in which all participants will be building and witnessing sandtrays.
Lacey Fisher, MA, LPC-S, NCC, RPT
"Using Sandtray to Create Trauma Narratives in Your Play Therapy Practice: How to Set Up, Witness, Document, and Discuss Play Themes" (1.5 CEUs)
This presentation will provide a brief overview of using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients cope with trauma. The presenter will discuss in detail how to use sandtray and play therapy to create and process a trauma narrative. The presentation will use case studies to explore how sandtray was used as a trauma narrative with young children to cope with various traumatic events such as physical and sexual abuse. The presenter will explain how those themes were discussed with parents and in criminal court. The presentation will also have an experiential component for participants to create, identify, and discuss themes with a partner.

"Looking Through the Lens of Interpersonal Neurobiology and Sandtray in Play Therapy" (6 CEUs)
The therapeutic benefits of play are not just for children. Play exists across our lifespan through our experiences of connection, creativity, and joy. When we feel safe in relationship, play naturally arises. Neuroplasticity is fostered and neural integration can occur. How can we foster the healing power of play in our therapeutic relationships? Looking through the lens of interpersonal neurobiology and sandtray, we will explore the answer to this question. This presentation includes didactic and experiential components to facilitate participants' learning experience.
Hannah Milford, MA, LPC, LCDC, NCC, RPT
